it is the period of blood flow in female after attending age of 10 or12 to age of 45 when ovary breaks the dirty blood comes out through placenta

Definition

Menstrual cycle is a period in which the ovum matures.


Menarche is the onset of menstrual cycle in a young female of age of 13 years.

Menopause is the permanent stoppage of menstrual cycle in a female of 45 years.


There are 4 phases in menstrual cycle :


⇒ Menstrual phase .

⇒ Follicular phase .

⇒ Ovulatory phase .

⇒ Luteal phase .


Explanation :


Ф The menstrual phase  lasts 3-5 days .

Ф The next phase involves growth of follicle.

Ф The follicle ruptures in ovulatory phase .

Ф The corpus luteum forms on the last phase .
