Meiosis has two rounds of genetic separation and cellular division whilemitosis only has one of each. Inmeiosis homologous chromosomes separate leading to daughter cells that are not genetically identical. In mitosisthe daughter cells are identical to the parent as well as to each other.

Cardiac muscles are only in the heart, they are also striated, once again due to the regular arrangement of the sarcomeres. Cardiac muscles are multinucleated, and the junctions between cells have intercalated disks, bands of tissue that help all cardiac muscle cells contract together without tearing.
