Newton's Third law of motion states that for ever action (Force) there is equal and opposite reaction (Force).
1) Broadly it means that in nature a SINGLE force cannot exist.
2) Forces always exist in pairs.
3) Action and reaction forces act on diferent objects.
For example : I am standing on the ground, the action Force is my weight which acts vertically downwards and the reaction force is the Normal reaction applied by the ground vertically upwards to balance my weight.
I hope it helps :)
