The nuclear fusion is the process by which heavier elements are formed by combining lighter elements. While on the other hand nuclear fission is the opposite to nuclear fusion. Nuclear fission is the process by which lighter elements are formed by breaking down of the heavier elements. The similarity between them is that both give out energy.
