Explain one sources effect and control of thermal pollution

One source of Thermal Pollution is Thermal Power Plant, where Coal is burnt to produce Electricity. Here, certain reactions are carried out those produce electricity from the Thermal Reactions taking place.

We can control Thermal Pollution by installing devices like Scrubbers inside the Chimneys or Smokestacks. Scrubbers usually collect almost all insoluble particles such as Soot, Fly-ash etcetera from the smoke and release Steam into the atmosphere.
