Definition of a Parallelogram (||gm) :-

A parallelogram is a quadrilateral in which the opposite sides of it are always parallel where, the opposite angles and sides are always. same.

Properties of a Parallelogram:-

  • The sum of interior angles of a parallelogram is always equal to 360°.
  • The opposite angles are equal.
  • The opposite sides are same.
  • The diagonals of it bisect each other.
  • If one 90° angle is present, it makes it into a rectangle.
  • The sum of consecutive angles of a Parallelogram always 180°.
  • Opposite sides are parallel to each other.
  • It is a convex polygon.

Properties of Parallelogram :-

  • Opposite sides are congruent.
  • Opposite angles are congruent.
  • Consecutive angels are supplementary.
  • The diagonal bisect each other.
  • If one angel is right,then all angels will be right.
  • Each diagonal of a parallelogram separates it into two congruent triangle.
