BECAUSE THE VALUE OF PIE IS NON TERMINATING AND NON REPEATING.

To prove:π is a irrational number.

Proof:

It is solved by contradiction method.

We know that,

\pi =  \frac{x}{y}

Here,one of the numbers x and y can be an irrational.

Division between a rational and an irrational,answer is an irrational. Thus,π is an irrational.

Consider the decimal value of π,

π=3.14159265358.........

It is a non-terminating and a recurring decimal,thus π is an irrational.
