Explain
☆ Polymerisation☆

ankitsinghtikkusingh: In polymer chemistry, polymerization is a process of reacting monomer molecules together in a chemical reaction to form polymer chains or three-dimensional networks. There are many forms of polymerization and different systems exist to categorize them

Hi Ragaviragavendra!!

Polymerisation:

Polymerisation is the process wherein alkene monomers are joined together into long polymer chains. The opposite of cracking (breaking polymer chains down into monomers), the double carbon bond is broken, and the alkene becomes saturated with hydrogen, forming one large chain, often billions of monomers long. The end of the chain will have an additional atom of hydrogen, terminating the polymer.

Answer:

Polymerization, any process in which relatively small molecules, called monomers, combine chemically to produce a very large chainlike or network molecule, called a polymer. The monomer molecules may be all alike, or they may represent two, three, or more different compounds
