The term recycling refers to a series of activities which include the collection of recyclable materials that would otherwise be considered as waste. It is therefore the process of converting waste materials into new objects and materials to useful products.

There are three R's of recycling, namely:

1. Reduce which means that one should use less of something, for example, using a sports bottle instead of buying bottled water.

2. Reuse which is to put something again into use without changing, for example, plastic grocery bags, and lastly

3. Recycle which is to put back into service without changing, i.e., cans, glass. Some things which can be recycled include paper, glass, tires, computers, batteries, plastic, and shoes. The importance of recycling is to conserve the natural environment by substitution of "secondary resources" such as glass, and paper.

ANSWER:-

Recycling:

In simplest language recycling can be defined as the conversion of waste material in the useful material.

For example:

Using empty plastic container to store various items or using waste newspaper to cover your notebooks are various forms in which we recycle some waste materials.

Commercial recycling process involves the collection and sorting of recyclable materials, as well as the processing of those materials into products which can then be re- sold.

Recycling is important since it prevents the wastage of material and helps in conservation of resources.

Hope it helps ☺️
