Reflection is of two types in physics.

1) Scattered reflection:- In this type of reflection the light rays go in random direction after bouncing from a irregular object.

2)Regular reflection:- In this type of reflection the light rays go in only one direction after bouncing from a smooth object.

if you mean reflection of light then it is just bouncing back of light

and its types are

(1) regular reflection------the reflection of light which take place with smooth surface is called regular reflection

eg--- reflection from mirror

(2) diffuse reflection------- the reflection which take place with rough surface is called diffuse reflection

eg-- reflection of light from paper ,walls etc.
