Resultant forces - Higher. When two or more forces act on an object, the resultant force can be found by adding up the individual forces.

A resultant force is the single force and associated torque obtained by combining a system of forces and torques acting on a rigid body. The defining feature of a resultant force, or resultant force-torque, is that it has the same effect on the rigid body as the original system of forces.

FORMULA :

Generally, if →F1,→F2,→F3....are the forces acting on a body, their resultant force →Fis given by: →F=→F1+→F2+→F3.... Depending on the number forces acting, the resultant can be obtained geometrically by applying triangle law, parallelogram law or polygon law of vector addition.

Resultant force

Resultant force :- The force in result in body to do action is known as resultant force

  • It depend on The vectors

  • Where the force applied in which direction

  • Resultant force also known as net force

  • we find the net force

  • only by the help of vector

understanding

  • If the equal forces are having in the direction of body
  • Then the resultant force is 0
