Answer:

When an object rolls over the surface of another object ,the resistance to its motion is called rolling friction. It is always easier to roll than to slide an object over another object. So rolling friction is much less than the sliding friction

Answer:

Rolling resistance, sometimes called rolling friction or rolling drag, is the force resisting the motion when a body rolls on a surface. It is mainly caused by non-elastic effects; that is, not all the energy needed for deformation of the wheel, roadbed, etc., is recovered when the pressure is removed.

OR

The force resisting the motion of a rolling body on a surface is known as rolling friction or rolling resistance. Rolling of ball or wheel on the ground is an example of Rolling friction.
