Answers
Explanation:
There are four types of Vedas – Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda. One of the best sources of Ancient Indian History is Vedic literature. Vedas have formed the Indian scripture. The ideas and practices of Vedic religion are codified by the Vedas and they also form the basis of classical Hinduism.
- Rig veda:- It is the earliest form of Veda
- Sama veda:-The earliest reference for singing
- Yajur veda:-It is also called the book of prayers
- Atharva veda:-The book of magic and charms
Rig veda:-
The Rig Veda is the earliest of the four Vedas and one of the most important texts of the Hindu tradition. It is a large collection of hymns in praise of the gods, which are chanted in various rituals. They were composed in an archaic language named Vedic that gradually evolved into classical Sanskrit.
Sama veda:-
Sama Veda is exclusively compiled for ritual application. Its verses were chanted at the ceremonies such as the Soma-sacrifice. It praises deities such as Indra, Agni, and Soma. Moreover, its prayers are dedicated to invoking the Supreme Being.
Yajur veda:-
The Yajur Veda (also known as "Worship Knowledge" or "Ritual Knowledge") is a collection of recitations, ritual worship formulas, mantras, and chants used in worship ceremonies.
Atharva veda:-
Atharvaveda (“Knowledge of the Fire Priest”), which includes various local traditions and remains partly outside the Vedic sacrifice.
