Explain scattering of light in atmosphere.

When white light passes through a glass-prism. It rafracts , and as it is moving from a rarer medium to a denser medium. It bends towards the normal . This kind of phenomenon is called dispersion/scattering of white light , and this happens cause of refraction.

Its very deep and lot of phenomenon happens in order to carry on just a scattering of light ,. A ray of radiation say from sun enters the atmosphere of earth where it reacts with many kinda matter and fields the earth's magnetosphere reacts with it in this way we perceive a northern lights, it's interaction of exciting electrons and de-excitiation of it causes energy to bump back again with different information like arrange of electron clouds this all this happens to make a light ray move or spread apart i.e to scatter red lights has the largest wavelength so it scatters the most
