The sexual organ or the reproductive organ of a typical Angiospermic plant is a flower .

The flower has the following whorls :

  1. Calyx
  2. Calyx Corolla
  3. Calyx Corollaandroecium
  4. Calyx Corollaandroeciumgynoecium

The calyx and Corolla are the accessory parts whereas androecium and gynoecium are the actual sexual parts

The Androecium produces male gametes by meiotic division of microspore mother cells which are transported to the female reproductive structure - gynoecium .

Gynoecium has stigma for receiving the pollen grains style for the growth of the pollen tube and ovary containing eggs where fertilization occurs

the male gamete coming in contact with the ovary performs double fertilization (syngamy and triple fusion ) to form embryo .
