Answer: Managing your anger tends to come easily to many people, but some people have trouble controlling their anger. When people have anger management issues, the often act on impulse when they’re upset.

In the same manner, self-control is the ability to control those impulses. Managing anger takes self-control.

But, anger management is only needed when someone is upset. Self-control can be something as simple as not eating chips when you feel like eating them. Anger tends to be expressed through more destructive ways. For instance, having the urge to steal an annoying coworker’s lunch or important information.

TLDR: Anger management helps someone not be destructive, self control helps keep impulse decisions to a minimal.
