The Government of India initiated many programmes to tackle the poverty, especially in rural regions.  To overcome such problem in rural area, the Union Ministry have introduced “National Rural Employment Programme” which provides the additional employment to the people.  By these schemes, the unemployed and under employed people get benefits.  Another major programme is “Jawahar Rozgar Yojna” which is implemented in the village panchayats.  This scheme provides the 50-100 days of employment to every poor family with reservation of 30% to the women.
