Speciation is the formation of one or more new species from an existing species.


A species is a collection of demes. The deme is a group of populations with common gene pool.

Types of speciation:
1. Allopatric Speciation
2. Sympatric Speciation
3. Parapatric Speciation
4. Quantum Speciation
