The form one will often see polynomials in is called standard form. It is when the terms are ordered in highest degree to lowest degree. For example, when given the polynomial x4+2x3+x+11, it is in standard form because 4 is the highest power, then 3 and 1. Which ones are polynomials? x5+3x+1.
