First and foremost, forests are the lungs of Mother Earth . The main producer of forest is food which is used as fuel, I as also raw materials for various Industries making furnitures, paper, packaging etc . Forest also provide us with medicines ,rubbers, resigns etc .
With the increase in population of our forest are diminishing . We should conserve our forest at all costs otherwise we mind face serious problems. Recently we saw the dance of death in the " tsunami" . The effect of this natural disaster could have been much less in the mangrove forests on the shores where not cleaned to give place to highly developed harbours and coastlines. Mangrove forest absorb and block the distructive the tsunami waves.
The deforestation of Himalayas is linked to population explosion. The other reason is construction of Hill roads. please let road construction affected the stability of Hill slopes damaged the protective vegetation cover both Above and below roads, resulted in debris covering forest vegetation, block natural drainage and caused pollution.....
