striated muscles/ skeletal muscles are those muscles which have striations on them. each microfibril show alternate dark and light bands giving a characteristic striped or striated appearance hence ,its name.

non striated muscles are those muscle which do not contain striations on them. microfibrils run longitudinally throughout the cell these fibrils do not show any light and dark bands. that is why they are called smooth or unstriped or non striated muscle fibres.

Answer:

Striated muscles are also called voluntary muscle, but some of the striated muscles are involuntary also as cardiac muscles, whereas non-striated muscles are completely involuntary. Striated muscles are seen in skeletal muscles and cardiac muscle, whereas non-striated muscles are seen in smooth muscles.
