Summer solstice occurs when the vertical rays of sun fall at tropic of cancer and sun is at its highest position in the sky. It occurs on 21 june every year.At this time it is summer in Northern hemisphere and winter in southern.
Vernal equinox is also called spring equinox. It occurs on 21 March every year . It occurs when sun rays fall vertically on equator. On this day length of days and nights is equal all over the earth.
Autumn equinox occurs on 23 September. On this day sun rays fall verticaLlysfaen on equator and length of days and nights are equal all over the world. The only difference between spring and autumn equinox is that during spring equinox it is spring in Northern hemisphere and autumn in southern hemisphere. While during autumn equinox it is autumn in Northern hemisphere and spring in southern hemisphere
