A supernova is a large explosion that takes place at the end of a star's life cycles. Supernova are often see in other galaxies but supernova are difficult to see in our own Milky Way Galaxy . In 1604, Johannes Kepler discovered the last observed supernova in the Milky Way. A supernova happens where there is a change in the centre of a star. A supernova burns only for a short period of time, but it can tell scientist a lot about the universe
