**Primary sector involves extraction of raw materials from the earth. This extraction results in raw materials and basic food.

Types of workers included in this sector include farmers, coal miners and hunters.

**Secondary sector involves the transformation of raw materials into goods. This transformation wood being made into furniture, fibre been made into clothes etc. which leads to industrialization.
Types of worker included in this sector are factory workers, seamstress or craftsman.

**Tertiary sector involves supplying of services to consumers and businesses. This sector provide services to general population and businesses.
Types of workers in this sector includes pilots, accountants and restaurant bartenders etc.

Tertiary sector is also known as Service sector.and the three-sector theory is an economic theory which divides economies into three sectors of activity: extraction of raw materials (primary), manufacturing (secondary), and services (tertiary).
