Glandular Epithelium

Glandular epithelium is also called columnar epithelium which have cylinderical shaped cells with oval nucleus at the base and microvilli at free ends. Microvilli are the finger like projections that help in absorption and secretion of juices.

Place of occurence (in humans):

Glandular epithelium is found gastric glands, intestinal glands, sweat glands and salivary glands.

How to learn them?

Since this epithelium is always found in gland region so learn the following common glands where glandular epithelium is found.
