if a line is drawn parallel to one side of the triangle intersecting to the other sides at two distinct points then the other two sides are divided in the same ratio is called Thales theorem
in a triangle ABC in which DE//BC and DE intersects AB on D and DE INTERSECTS AB IN D AND AC IN E.
IN TRIANGLE ABC ;DE//BC THEN AD/DB=AE/EC
