blood is one of the connective tissues because these flows through various parts of our body.
Hence these are also considered as specialised Connective tissues.

Blood is called a connective tissue because it carries with it many digestive substances, oxygen from lungs, foods from small intestines and provide it to other tissues and organs of the body. Since, it connect the heart , lungs, small intestines with other tissues of the body and works as a medium between them , it is called a connective tissue of the body.Hope this helps you..!!!
