inversion of temperature is basically a phenomenon by which with increase of altitude the temperature also increases and to have such phenomenon there are same favorable conditions:-
which are the area should be mountain valley, the climate should be calm and quiet and the sky should be clear...ETC
I think this might help you to understand it ...

ZiiRex: oh and one more due to the hot wind also known as loo in India have low pressure which results in forming a layer similar to the layer of the atmosphere which causes increase of temperature with increase of height
ZiiRex: I forgot to tell you this earlier bcoz I just got flow in emotions and wrote the whole definition so don't mind it
Sulochana1: Thank uuu
ZiiRex: mention not

Answer:

During an inversion, the air temperature increases with increasing height above the soil surface. As a result, the coldest, densest air is at the surface and its density steadily decreases with increasing height. The result is a very stable stratification of air that prevents or retards vertical air motion.
