Yes motion is a relative term because it takes place with the respect of time and surrounding . It depend on observer 's frame of reference .

For eg. 1) If we are travelling in bus and someother person who is sitting in some shop or any public place we imagine you as in motion , but someother person who sitting near the person or standing up and seeing him / her for the person he will be in rest .

2) If we can toss and catch a ball in a moving bus if the motion is in a straight line at constant speed. The motion may have a different appearance as viewed from a different reference frame, but this can be explained by including the relative velocity of the reference frame in the description of the motion. 》》 ¤
