the above paragraph is about the periodisation of history according to that the historian divide history into different time period with each having some characteristics different from other period.so as we study history it helps us to differentiate between our past and the present. there were also specific or significance change in each period . james mill thought that the indians were less civilized than that compared to the European countries. and according to his division of history we can see the basis of the religious discrimination done in the division of the time period.
