When propane reacts with chlorine, we will mostly (theoretically) get an isomer with a chlorine on the end. (CH3−CH2−CH2Cl). However, when propane reacts with bromine, we will mostly get an isomer with bromine attached to the second carbon (CH3−CHBr−CH3).
