In Delhi sultanate , the king was the head of government. He used the title of Sultan. The most important among the ministers was Wazir or Chief Minister. Another minister in _ charge of army was called Ariz _i_Mamalik.The chief of army administration was called Diwan - i - Araz . The department of religious affairs was called Diwani rasalat . The council of ministers headed by wazir was known as Diwan- i- wazarat.
