1.When we take food into our mouth SALIVARY AMYLASE produced by salivary glands converts starch into glucose.
2. Then the food goes through oesophagus creating a wave like movement known as Peristaltic movement.
3. Then the food enters to stomach. In stomach Gastric juice and Hydrochloric acids are present.
4. Hydrochloric acide helps to kill germs which enters the stomach through food , it gives an acidic medium to the food and also it facilitate the action of enzyme pepsin.
5. Gastric juice converts protein to amino acid.
6. Bile juice produced by liver alsp converts proteins to amino acid.
7. Pancreas produce pancreatic juice which contain the enzymes TRYPSIN and LIPASE.
8. Trypsine helps to convert Protein to amino acid and Lipase helps to convert fats to fatty acida and glycerols.
9. Then the food pass through sphincter muscles which makes the food smaller and smaller.
10. Now the food enter to Small intestine which absorbs the digested food.
11.Now food is in Large Intestine which absorb water.
12.Now the wastes are stored in Rectum and pass out through Anus.
