The cause of cramps after physical exercise is the production of lactic acid in the muscle. This makes the muscle stiff and rigid. When vigorous exercise is undertaken this production of lactic acid leads to cramps.

When we do excessive amount of physical excercises for a long time period,we often face the problem of muscle cramp which is very painful.

This muscle cramps occur due to the lactic acid deposition around our flexible muscles. And due to this lactic acid deposition, our muscles become hard , which causes the temporary muscle cramps.

Whenever the effect of lactic acid neutralizes ,the muscles become soft again and we get relief from the muscle cramp pain.
