Disguised unemployment is when the excess number of people operating though not required, in this scenario an extra person work does not add to the contribution made by others, then extra person work will be bee termed as disguised unemployment, which usually happens to the family members, who are engaged in agricultural activities.

The reasons for such type of unemployment are excess of labor survives in pastoral areas, however, work in such regions mostly persists periodically, thus producing disguised unemployment. Such type of Unemployment can cause barrier to growth of the country because in this type of employment the people are working but not able generate revenue resulting in increased poverty.
