For this fact to understand, it is important to note that the two bodies being rubbed must be made up ofdifferent materialhavingdifferent electron affinitynow when two bodies are rubbed some amountof electrons move from one body to another because of different electron affinity, which meansthe body losing electron will be positively charged at the same time that amount of electron will be gained by other body making it negatively charged so theamount of total charge remain conserved for the system.

here's ur answer....
electrostatic charge-itt is the force of interaction (repeltion or attraction). there are two types of charge positive charge and negative charge. when we rub a body, it's get charged, especially if the object is insulator and surrounding air is dry. if one body have negative charge and another have positive charge then it gets charge and attract each other.
