1) The human heart has four chambers to prevent mixing of pure and impure blood.
2) The deoxygenated(impure) blood has to be sent to the lungs for purification i.e removal of carbon dioxide.
3) Likewise, the oxygenated( pure ) blood from the lungs is brought back to the heary for circulation to all parts of the body.
4) The oxygenated blood from lungs reaches the left auricle and the left auricle relax when it recieves the blood. Then, the left auricle contracts and as a result it pumps the oxygenated blood into the left ventricle.
5) Similarly, deoxygenated blood from all parts of the body reaches to the right auricle. Contraction in the right auricle pushes the blood to the right ventricle. From the right ventricle the blood then moves to the lungs for purification.
