Resources are classified into renewable and non renewable resources.

Renewable resources are those which get replenished in a short amount of time or need not be replenished at all and can be used again, for example sunlight and air

Non-Renewable resources do not get replenished in short amounts of time and take time which is more than the lifespan of an average human to replenish. Such resources are very limited also..

Examples: Coal and Petroleum

i). Renewable resources:- Renewable resources are the natural resources which can be used against and again or can be reproduced by physical, mechanical and chemical processes. Solar energy, air, water and soil are some of the renewable resources of energy.

ii). Non-renewable resources:- Non-renewable resources are the natural resources that cannot be replaced at all or within a reasonable time. Fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal are examples of non-renewable resources. These resources accumulated over millions of years.
