Answer:

These phenomena include the increased temperature trends described by global warming, but also encompass changes such as sea-level rise; ice mass loss in Greenland, Antarctica, the Arctic and mountain glaciers worldwide; shifts in flower/plant blooming; and extreme weather events.”

Other types of climate include tropical climates, which are hot and humid, and temperate climates, which have warm summers and cooler winters. Climate change is the long-term alteration of temperature and typical weather patterns in a place. Climate change could refer to a particular location or the planet as a whole.

Climate change can be defined as a long-term change in the average weather of global and regional patterns. It includes the average change in temperature, rainfall, humidity, wind, level of ocean, land surfaces etc. for a long period of time in a region.

  • According to NASA’s definition of climate change, "Climate change is a broad range of global phenomena created predominantly by burning fossil fuels, which add heat-trapping gases to Earth's atmosphere. These phenomena include the increased temperature trends described by global warming, but also encompass changes such as sea-level rise; ice mass loss in Greenland, Antarctica, the Arctic and mountain glaciers worldwide; shifts in flower/plant blooming; and extreme weather events."

The different types of climate change are :-

 \\

  • [1] Dry : It is the dry climate zone where the moisture of the surfaces is rapidly evaporated in the air. Therefore, there is very little moisture in this climate zone.

  • [2] Tropical : It is the tropical, i.e, hot and humid zone where the average temperature is greater than 64° F each year and average rainfall is 59 inches annually.

  • [3] Polar : It is the polar climate zone where the temperature is the lowest, even in summer season, the temperature never goes higher than 50° F. This zone is extremely cold zone.

  • [4] Temperate : It is the temperate climate zone and there are tropically humid and warm summers with mild winters and thunderstorms.

  • [5] Continental : It is the continental zone which have both warm to cool summers as well as very cold winters.
