The Resistors Colour Code is painted with bands where to indicate the value to their tolerance with many physical sizes of wattage rating. For the restive value they were coloured with paint bonds, and it will produce the system identification generally.

The colours like green, blue, brown, red, and violet which are used for tolerance codes on 5-band resistors. Similarly blank (20%) “band” is used with the “4-band” code only (3 coloured bands + a blank “band”).

So to calculate register values.

Digit, Digit, Multiplier = Colour, Colour x 10 colour  in Ohm’s (Ω)
