our constitution has provided us six fundamental rights by which it ensures that the country and it's citizens are living a dignified life . as we all know rights are very important for citizens and without the presence of rights ,a country cannot be called truly democratic . the six fundamental rights in our constitution are as follows :a) right to equality - under this right , every person is equal before law . every citizen from the prime minister to a small farmer in a remote village is subjected to same laws , rules and regulations . No citizen can be discriminated on the basis of caste , religion , sex or gender . all the government regulated policies and resources are available to every citizen on an equal basis . this freedom is expanded to employment opportunities also. b).right to freedom : right to freedom includes following parameters - 1) freedom to form associations. 2).freedom to assemble in a peaceful manner. 3).freedom to reside in any part of the country.4).freedom to practice any occupation . 5).freedom of speech and expression. c). right against exploitation : our constitution says that every citizen has the right not to be exploited . it prohibits 1). human traffic - buying and selling of peoples , especially women for immoral purposes . 2). child labour : no body can give a child under the age of fourteen years to work for him/her in factories and industries .3). bonded labour : when the practice of child labour is practiced for a long time , it is called bonded labour. d).right to freedom of religion : people should not be discriminated on the basis of religion . every citizen has freedom to practice any religion he / she believes in. it doesn't means that you are free to force any other person to change his / her religion . for example , you can't force a widoed woman to shave her head . such type of practices are prohibited under this right . e). cultural and educational rights : this is the language and culture of minorities which can be dominated by the language and culture of majorities . every citizen has the right to study in any institution or college he or she wants to study in. there should be no discrimination among peoples on the basis of cast and gender when applying for any institution. f).right to constitutional remedies : this right makes other rights effective . sometimes it happens when our rights are violated by our fellow citizens or other peoples .in such cases we can seek remedy through courts . if any fundamental right is violated , then we can directly approach supreme court . hope it helps you.....
