Now I would like to give you
▪the aim and function
of Lok Adalat( the people's court) -
In order to provide quick, affordable and speedy justice to be poor and downtrodden, This system was provided in 1985
It was first organized in Gujarat 1982. The aim was to give relief to the litigants(person involved in lawsuit), who wanted to get justice.
Lok Adalat was established by the govt. to settle disputes.
It provides justice free of cost.
▪Aim of PIL
It is not necessary that the person who is a victim should personally approach the court,
such cases may occur when the victim does not have necessary resources to start a litigation ( legal action).
It can be done through a telegram or letter.
It is an inexpensive legal remedy because there is a nominal fee.
hope it helped you!!!
