Role Conflict occurs when 2 or more roles of an individual are obstructed by social factors.

For instance, a woman plays the role of a housewife at home and that of a schoolteacher at a school. The society's norms and regulations prevent her to carry on her roles outside that particular environment, especially the role played at school.
