Work done by variable force -

When a force results in displacement, we say work is done.

W = F.s

Here, we consider force to constant. But in real life, force is always variable.

Work done by variable force is the sum of all works done by infinitely small constant forces.

W = W1 + W2 + W3 + ...

In practice, we calculate the total work done by integrating the force wrt displacement.

W = ʃF.dx
