conduction: the movement of something such as heat or electricity through a medium or passage. ex- metal rod to roast a marshmallow on an open fire feeling the heat rise through the rod.

convection: the process in which heat move through a a gas or liquid as the hotter part rises and the cooler\heaviest part sink. ex-rise of smoke from a fire.

radiation: powerful or very dangerous rays that are sent out from certain substances. You cannot see or feel radiation but it cause serious illness or death.

ex-the energy waves off of a nuclear bomb.
