Sea water is heated by sunlight, where radiation plays a key role & further heating causes (1) evaporation of water, (2) heating the interiors of ocean where both conduction and radiation plays an important factor (this helps to keep warmth in interior and make life in sea possible) & (3) Heating the air near the surface of ocean where hot air got light and got lifted and natural convection starts.

If the vacuum is excessive then it can cause depression and may lead to storm where forced convection is present. Hence the entire cycle is dominated by all the modes of heat transfer simultaneously. If you remove anyone of them, process will not proceed. Simultaneously, all the modes are present and all the physics occur together.
