explain the construction and working of a thermos flask. how does it minimise the loss of heat

i think convection principle is utilised here. thermos is not a conductor of heat. So a layer of it is placed in between the inner part and outer part of flask. Minimal heat transfer takes place. The heat energy stays inside.
