Amrita Devi Bishnoi sacrificed her life with 363 other people in protection of khejri tree in khejrali village near Jodhpur in Rajasthan. In the memory of Amrita Devi Bishnoi the gov. of india has recently instituted an 'Amrita Devi Bishnoi National Award for Wildlife Conservation.
