when man selects who will survive and the rest perish(biotic factors) is called artificial selection
when nature selects which biotic factors will survive and the rest perish is called natural selection

the diffrence between the two is that ;
artificial selection follows the classification based on morphological features.. this was used by aristotle and linneaus we can say that this is unscientific type.
whereas natural selection is the one in which every characteristic feature is used.
