Explain the difference between appreciation of praise

Hello! Well, Appreciation and Praise sound similar in a way but i feel there is a slight difference between both the words.

Appreciation is more towards positivity. Everyone likes being appreciated rather everyone should be appreciated for their good work. I feel When you appreciate others you build a special bond with them. But it must not go like flattering them..It should be honest.

Praise could be for anything good or bad. One could praise others both in terms of their good or bad deed,their behaviour,their dressing style,lifestyle and so on.
